Graduated from the University of Alabama with a BS in Accounting and an MBA
Prior to his career as a fishing guide, Van Hoose graduated from the University of Alabama with a BS in Accounting and an MBA. Later, he earned an MABS from Dallas Theological Seminary. His favorite movies are Chariots of Fire, A River Runs Through It, and The Natural. His Favorite Book – Fly Fishing Through a Mid-Life Crisis (Howell Raines)

Rocky Van Hoose's Auto-Biography

Van Hoose was born in Sarasota Florida and is one of three captains at Native Sons Fishing, based in East Central Florida, 45 minutes east of Orlando. Van Hoose competes in national redfish tournaments and is a certified captain with the State of Florida and U.S. Coast Guard.
