Ken Butler III's Auto-Biography
Born May 2nd 1982, Ken (aka KB III) graduated from Parkview High School in Lilburn, Ga where he was a 2 time letterman for the AAAAA Georgia State Champion football team his senior year as the Panthers went 15-0.
He and his brother Brett began racing Go Carts that year with the help of their High School Football coach, Cecil Flowe. After 2 years he moved to the Hooters Pro Challenge series where he shared a car with his brother the first year and the second year he and his brother had their own race cars. That year in 2004, he finished 2nd overall in the points to 4 time National Champion Terry Mathis and his brother Brett finished 4th.
The Butler Brothers became a racing name to be reckoned with. In that same year he tested with Michael Waltrip Racing and ran two ASA races at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway. KBIII began his Hooters USAR Pro Cup career in 2005 where he was runner up for the Most Popular Driver award. His best qualifying effort that year was at Bristol Motor Speedway where he set a track record in qualifying (at the time) and eventually qualified 4th to start the race. He also qualified and made every regular season and championship race.
As a rookie he had his ups and downs, but proved he could compete at this level. In 2006, KBIII proved to himself and the series that he was the real deal with consistent finishes as he closed out the championship races. Ken Butler was voted by the fans as the "Most Popular Driver" in the Hooters Pro Cup Series in 2006! KBIII will move on to the ARCA and Craftsman Truck Series in 2007 and run partial schedules in both as part of the "young guns program" at Michael Waltrip Racing

(1) Remark on Ken Butler III: NASCAR Nationwide Driver
I want to thank Aaron's and KBIII for the terrific tent set up at Iowa Speedway and the autograph session. I got Ken's autograph, a great picture taken by me with my camera and Ken also gave me a stuffed Lucky Dog. I was going to give it to my grand daughter but since Ken gave it to me I decided to keep and treasure it. It's not everyday a Nascar driver gives a fan something! I only regret that I didn't get him to sign the stuffed Lucky Dog...that would had been perfect. Thank You!
P.S. You can relay this message to Ken as well. I want him to know that he has gained a fan....ME!
