Yardbarker is a new kind of sports site. There are no editors... just sports fans. It's simple. Users submit links to the best sports content from around the web. The community rates quality. You see the best content. It's sports media by the fans, for the fans.
Yardbarker, Inc., based in Berkeley, CA, was founded in 2006 by a group of sports fans who happened to be experienced Internet professionals (with backgrounds at Walt Disney Internet Group, Ofoto, and eBay). We noticed an explosion in the amount of great sports content around the web -- on blogs, message boards, local newspaper sites, etc. So we built a service that makes it easy for sports fans to find and discuss the best stuff every day. The result is an alternative to the Big Guys' sites, filtered by fans, not editors. We're shaking up the online sports landscape. Welcome to Sports 2.0.
