Trueblood Comes to Life in British Medical Lab

hbo true blood

Is truth is stranger than fiction?
A scientific breakthrough in England sounds pretty similar to the premise of the HBO hit series: TrueBlood, a TV series about modern-day vampiers.
The independent.co.uk broke the story "British scientists create synthetic blood."

Scientists in Britain plan to become the first in the world to produce unlimited amounts of synthetic human blood from embryonic stem cells for emergency infection-free transfusions.

If you recall our post about the Trueblood viral marketing campaign, you may recall a certain part of the storyline:  A Japanese scientist's invention of synthetic blood allows vampires to progress from legendary monsters to fellow citizens overnight. Season 2 is set to start in June, so it's probably too late for the writers to integrate this story into one of the episodes.
