Instant Coffee Taste Test: Starbucks Via vs. Nescafe

In an effort to recpature the customers who left from the coffee war with McDonalds, Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) launched its instant coffee-Via,  in select Seattle and Chicago markets yesterday.

You can buy your own Via pack online, but I want to hear from you coffee fans out in Seattle and Chicago. Does Via live up to Shultz' hype, or is it just another version of Nescafe Instant Coffee?.According to  Starbucks Twitter , it will be sold in London stores by the end of March.If you've had the chance to sample this new product, please leave a comment and share your review.

I don't drink instant and probably won't try it. My friend overseas is waiting to try- she LOVES SB coffee, thats all she'll drink. I hope people comment here so we can see what they say.

I work out in Chicago and it's taken over Starbucks. They sent me a sample in the mail, and for instant coffee it was pretty good. Be careful with the Columbian cofee if you don't like it strong.

it really tastes the same as their filter coffee - same crap taste. wonder how they manage to achieve this?
