Honda Creates Asimo: A Robot that Responds to Brain Waves

If you've seen Drudge Report today, you noticed the headline to this incredible story from Breitbart.com. Honda Connects Brain Thoughts With Robotics
According to the article, Honda's revolutionary devicecan analyze thought patterns and relay them to wireless commands for Asimo, its human-shaped robot. It's still in its early stages of development.
You may be wondering how Honda pulled off this amazing scientific feat. Their specially designed helmet reads electric currents on a person's scalp as well as changes in cerebral blood flow when a person thinks about four simple movements—moving the right hand, moving the left hand, running and eating.
Am I the only one who had a flashback to Emmett Brown's Mind-Reading Device , the Brain Wave Analyzer , featured in the 80's sci-fi hit, Back to the Future?
- Doc: "You want me to buy a subscription to the Saturday Evening Post?"
- Marty: "No."
- Doc: "You want me to make a donation to the Coast Guard Youth Auxiliary?"
- Marty: "Doc, I'm from the future. I came here in a time machine that you invented and I have to get back to the year 1985."
