Walgreens E-Mail Showcases Snuggie, Shamow & More As Seen On TV Junk

Just when you thought the Shamwow was gone, Walgreens (NYSE:WAG) is bringing it straight to your Inbox. My most recent "special offers and savings" E-mail from Walgreens was titled: Get Your Snuggie, Shamwow and other "As Seen on TV items."
In addition to the Shamwow and Snuggie, other infomercial All-Star items sold on walgreens.com include:
Smooth Away Hair Remover (With travel case!) Each pad is covered with superfine crystals that buff away unwanted hair leaving your skin so soft and incredibly smooth.
Loud 'N Clear: Have you seen the ad for this one? It's a glorified hearing aid "cleverly designed to look like an expensive cell phone ear piece" that lets you hear a pin drop across the room, spy on your eavesdrop on your next door neighbors, and hear a Trophy-sized Buck while you're hunting in the forest.
Kinoki Footpads:The magical, detoxifying foot pads made from "all-natural double-distilled bamboo vinegar and other holistic ingredients" that will "absorb heavy metals, metabolic waste and other impurities that can slowly poison your system".
Unfortunately for Kinoki, multiple consumer reports, including a health product investigation by ABC revealed that the footpads have virtually no medical or scientific backing, but merely provide a placebo effect.
Remember one of the catchphrases for infomercials: Not Sold in Stores ?. Evidently, the tables have turned, and retailers are now plugging the products that were pitched as alternatives to major brands. Perhaps this is just a desperate by Walgreens to stem CVS' momentum in recent months.
If any of you have a funny story regarding buyer's remorse about an infomercial product, I'd love to hear it.
