My Favorite iPhone App of the Week - iMob
I was leaving Wal-Mart last night when I received a text from one of my old friends from college. He was practically begging me to download a new game in the App Store.I read Ben's message and thought:
- I usually don't enjoy those types of games.
- I'll give it a try, because it's one of the most popular games.
- Ben really needs to get out of the house more often. (Just kidding)
I obliged and within 10 minutes, I was money-hungry mobster trying to gain as much power and influence as possible. You gain strength, weapons and income by completing certain missions, meeting with the Don and knocking off the competition.
You can invite friends who are fellow iPhone owners to your mob via invites with your friend code. The larger your mob, the more likely you are to survive and advance. I must admit, I was pretty hooked for the first 30-45 minutes, but, like any game, the initial appeal wore off soon after, and I put it down for another day.
iMob was built with stong fundamental concepts that incorporate social networking, so you have to credit that feat to the developers- The Godfather.
