Tech Media's Leaders To Speak at Churchill Club

On Tuesday, Nov 18, the Sixth Annual What's Hot and What's Not in Personal Technology show , will feature an all-star panel of established experts in tech media will offer their insight on industry trends, along with reviews of the newest gadgets.
Presented by the Churchill Club, the annual event is a show-and-tell-style gala. Speakers will discuss the latest trends and demo new digital technology in consumer electronics and gadgets, including readers, phones, music players, laptops and GPS systems.
The speaking lineup features writers known for their "no holds barred" approach to product reviews:
Greg Harper: President of Cerberus Corporation, and Co-founder of Gadgetoff.
Walt Mossberg: "Personal Technology" columnist at The Wall Street Journal
Sheryl Sandberg:Chief Operating Officer of Facebook
Kara Swisher: Co-Executive Director of AllThingsDigital
In addition to his work at Cerberus, Harper also works as senior strategic adviser to the chairman of Trans World Entertainment. Sandberg is a new face in the cast of familiar characters. Her impressive resume includes six years as VP of Global Online Sales & Operations at Google. Sandberg also served as Chief of Staff for Robert Rubin, the U.S. Treasury Secretary during President Clinton's administration.
Mossberg and Swisher form a dynamic tandem for the BoomTown blog on the AllThingsDigital site and they produce another popular technology conference, "D: All Things Digital," where they interview industry leaders including Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Meg Whitman and others.
Swisher's past work includes two bestselling books about AOL: "aol.com:
How Steve Case Beat Bill Gates, Nailed the Netheads and Made Millions
in the War for the Web," and the sequel, "There Must Be a Pony in Here
Somewhere: The AOL Time Warner Debacle and the Quest for a Digital
Future."
The show is at Cabana (formerly Crowne Plaza), at 4290 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, CA. Registration is available online or on-site at 6:00p.m., the buffet starts at 6:20 and the Program begins at 7:00p.m. Online admission costs $70 for club members and $85 for non-members. On-site admission costs $82 for members and $97 for non-members.
