New Myspace Tools Arrive Months After Facebook versions

In the world of social networking, the dilligent tortoise (Facebook) has passed the sleeping hare (Myspace).
From photo tagging to status updates, Facebook has led the way, while Myspace was caught sleeping at the wheel.Myspace has resorted to copying Facebook's tools and promoting their own version months later.
For a perfect example, here is a message I received yesterday when I was checking my Gmail :

Look familiar? It's a ripoff of Facebook's "People you may know" tool.
Myspace's latest effort to emulate its arch-rival should come as no surprise. Only a few months ago, we learned that Facebook attracted more unique visitors and its popularity continues to grow.Meanwhile, Myspace has been tried to lure more subscribers with Myspace Music, an application that provides unlimited amount of playlists.
If there's any validity the old saying, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.", Mark Zuckerberg must be blushing. With the exception of Myspace's alliance with Amazon, we haven't seen many innovative ideas from the former king of social networking.
While there's no apparent "finish line" to this social networking race,Myspace is already showing signs of serious fatigue.
