Attention Deficit Disorder & Development
Every once in a while I don't post for a few days. Usually it's because my work load gets to the point that I have to cut out blogging for a few days or so. Well this last spell was no different. I've been working on a development project for the past 2 weeks and I can't remember the last time I was able to sit down and write code for that long. One of the best things about having ADD (attention deficit disorder) is the fact that I can be hyper-focused on a specific task. It's good because that task or project is all I think about during the period of high productivity. The bad part is that I typically pull all-nighters and don't see my wife and daughter all that much and often times I don't update the blog.I guess that's how it goes when you have more to do than you can handle. My mental queue of tasks gets organized by priority and Marketing Shift falls to the bottom of that queue. I guess it's Laslow's hierarchy of needs as it applies to bloggers. We have to make sure we get paid and then we can blog. Or put in elementary school terminology, you can't play until you get your homework done.
Anyway, I'm back. Although it looks like we're going to get our 3rd hurricane Sunday which is the same day I'm suppose to fly out of town to Research Triangle Park. Anyway, thanks for sticking around during my periods of absence. If anyone has items they'd like me to include on here just fire off an email to jason at gmail dot com and I'll be sure to review it.
