100 Oldest Domain Names

WhoisD put together an archived domain list of the 100 oldest domain names with the oldest being symbolics.com created on March 15, 1985 and the 100th oldest domain name being nynexst.com which was first registered on November 30, 1987. I'd love to find out where
they got this data and whether or not someone has any objections to it. I know the internet wasn't creating much buzz outside academia back then but it's kind of hard to believe there were only 100 domain names registered between March 15, 1985 and November 30, 1987.

My favorites from the archived list are fluke.com, and stargate.com: The irony with stargate.com is that it's a domain name registrar itself... too funny!
