Email Signature Files Must Change
Everyone I know with an email account has a personal signature at the bottom of their emails. Most include their name, phone, fax, company url, a quote, and a disclaimer. However, I'm proposing a change for the better to the standard email signature. Instead of putting a quote in the signature, why not put a link to your blog? Your personal (even corporate) blog has much more information about you and your opinions than any one quote ever could. Plus, you can use the same single character denotation you use for other signature attributes. Just like when someone puts p: in place of phone:, f: in place of fax:, and m: or c: in place of mobile: or cell: Why not put b: in place of blog:? I mean, after all, it's all about the "B" isn't it?To encourage others to do the same I'm changing my signature file today! From now on it will look like this.
